Natty Crown

Natty Crown is a soundsystem based in Cologne Germany and was founded by Ben Kistemann a.k.a. Fada Ben early 1997. The members are : Fada Ben (Owner, Operator, MC,Selector), Hatcher (MC, Sound Fx). Natty Crown is one of the 4 most well known sounds out of cologne.

We have played in local venues like Filmhaus, Stadtgarten, Essigfabrik, just to mention a few. Natty Crown plays music based on the Caribbean culture especially Reggae from Jamaica. The selection ranges from foundation classics like Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs to the latest in todays Dancehall and Roots/Lovers music.

We already work/play with artists/sounds like Kingstone(D), Lazy Youth(D), Fireball(D), Top Frankin(D), Stingray(D), Culture Rock(D), Carlton Livingston(JA), Soul Stereo(FR), Ba Ba Boom (D), Supersonic(D), Ganjan(D), Upliftment intl.(D), Heartical(FR), Nikitaman(D), Hurricane(D), B.B. Seaton(JA), Shashamane intl. (NY), Badabada(D), Cool Rock(NL), Major Damage(D), Sentinel(D), Pow Pow(D), Small Axe(D), Dr. Ring Ding(D), Natty Flo(D), Soundquake(D) ....

Natty Crown was represented on the worlds largest music festival named Popkom which was held in Cologne. (1999-2003) .

In 2005 we took part in the 45 Clash "Trouble Again" in Leipzig.

The purpose of Natty-Crown is to promote reggae, bringing it to the dance-floor so that people can enjoy the message of the music and also experience an important part of Jamaican culture.
