Likkle Sam

My name is Likkle Sam (Samuel N.) I was born in 1990 in Savona, Italy, from Nigerian father and Italian mother. Since I was a child, reggae music was always played from my father’s vinyls and Cds collections, then growin’ up, readin’ books, attending to shows, and listenin’ whole heap of LPs music becames one of the most important things in my life.

When me decided to start to sing and produce something, there wasn’t no young musicians to play with. As you know, in a little place, there are few possibilities... Luckily my Brother Raphael made me sing as backing vocals with The Eazy Skankers (New Roots Band since 2002) in some performances, even important like the warm up for Junior Kelly: Just a Great beginning!!!

Later The Band left for a tour, and I wasn’t able to follow them Because I was hardworkin’ as lifeguard... Then I wrote lyrics on some riddim, took a personal computer, a microphone and I recorded some tracks at home or in a garage box. To take more confidence with the stage I perform those songs at local dancehalls with some sound systems... I’m also involved in a Hip-Hop project, producing beats for two Italian MCs.. Now, I’m setting up a new Reggae Band composed by 6 people. In this short self-biography I didn’t tell you much about me...I hope I’ll do it soon with my sings! Likkle by likkle...Big Things a Gwaan!!
